Of all Croatia’s islands, Vis may be the most intriguing. Set deeper into the Adriatic Sea than its neighbours, Vis was kept off-limits to the general public until the Yugoslav army abandoned it in 1989. This has kept its stunning natural charms intact, with plenty of space to explore away from the summer crowds.

This tiny Croatian island gets star billing the Mamma Mia sequel. And, with beautiful beaches, 17th-century architecture, many walking trails and great seafood restaurants, it’s easy to see why.

Remote Dalmatian Island

If you’re even a little bit of an adventurer, if you enjoy walking along well-marked trails, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then the island of Vis, nestled in the heart of Dalmatia, is truly a place you need to experience. Located in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, Vis has a distinct character that sets it apart from all other Dalmatian islands. Here, every moment is savored to the fullest.

A hiking tour on Vis is truly a delightful way to explore the island. The trails are well-trodden and marked, and the villages are small, each with its own charm rooted in authenticity and simplicity. On this island, don’t expect luxury in the traditional sense—but instead, the richness of real Dalmatia. This hiking tour is unforgettable, filled with everything we often find ourselves missing.

Vis is a great hiking destination all year round, but the most beautiful time to visit the island is from March to June and then again from September to December. No matter when you come, you’ll feel almost at home here. See you on Vis!

Epic Bike Tours

This walking holiday came to life simply because we first arrived in Komiža by sailboat—more than 35 years ago. We took a walk and quickly realized that Vis offers exceptional hikes and wonderfully remote places. And just like that, we fell in love with the island. It’s the place we escape to whenever life feels a bit too much.

With Heart in the Matter

Every hiking tour, every carefree wander, is a mosaic composed of tiny details. Each such mosaic needs someone who, with joy and heart, puts the pieces together into a trustworthy whole. Born a Dalmatian and a native of Split, he can instantly create that light, quintessential Dalmatian atmosphere.

Dani knows Croatia exceptionally well. He knows exactly where to find the best spots, is familiar with local winemakers and residents, and can lead you to the most secluded corners. He has traversed much of the coast and islands along the Adriatic. For two decades, he has also worked as a mountain guide, gaining extensive experience with hiking groups from around the world. Dani is the one who ensures that all hiking and active tours or holidays remain carefree. With great enthusiasm, he guides you to the finest offerings of the region, listens attentively, and knows exactly what it takes for you to feel satisfied and safe on the trails.
